Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receiving Team Supervisor with experience in 3PL. As the Receiving Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving operations in our warehouse facility. Your role will involve managing a team, ensuring efficient materials handling, maintaining accurate inventory control, and optimizing logistics processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3PL warehouse supervision, possess strong leadership skills, and have a passion for process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the receiving operations in the warehouse
- Manage a team of receiving associates, providing guidance and support
- Ensure accurate and timely receipt of incoming shipments
- Perform quality checks on received goods to ensure they meet specifications
- Maintain proper documentation and records of received items
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory and monitor productivity
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a 3PL warehouse or distribution center
- Strong knowledge of materials handling, inventory control, and logistics processes
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
